Sunday School

During the school year, Sunday School (Christian Education) is offered from 10:40 - 11:40AM following our Worship Service. Sunday School provides a consistent, structured, cumulative, and age appropriate education with a curriculum centered on Bible Readings (Stories for the younger kids) and application to life. We teach Children what God has done throughout History, as recorded in the Bible; and we teach children what God is doing in their life today, through the power of God's Word

Classes are grouped according to age as follows: Pre-K, Kindergarten - 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th - 7th, 8th - 12th, and adult. Regular attendance is encouraged because the lessons build on each other as they give a comprehensive teaching of the Bible.

Youth Group

Youth Group (7-12) meets Wednesday's at the church, 7:45PM - 9:00PM.

Confirmation

Confirmation at Bethesda is a unique time in a student's life when they study and are instructed in the Word of God in a directed and semi-comprehensive manner that many will never experience again. Confirmation is neither just a rite of passage, nor a free pass into heaven. It is not merely instruction in what to do in order to be a "good Christian" but rather is an opportunity to discover what God has done at Calvary for us. It is our hope that through confirmation each student "Confirms" what God has done for them and that throughout the process they find themselves trusting God and all of His promises. We believe that God works through His Word to accomplish this, and His Word is heard more clearly as we as teachers and parents partner together toward this end.

Here at Bethesda we have 2 years of Confirmation in 7th grade and 8th grade.

We study Luther's Small Catechism which includes:

  • The 10 Commandments,
  • The Lord's Prayer,
  • The Apostle's Creed,
  • The Sacraments of Baptism and Communion.

Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer

Pastor Paul Tjelta leads an adult Bible Study Wednesday Night from 6:15 - 7:15PM. Each week we take an in-depth look at scripture as well as spending time together in prayer and fellowship.

Men's Ministries

S.H.O.P. (Saturday Hour of Prayer) is a men's group that meets at church at 7:30AM the second and fourth Saturday's of the month. We begin with a brief devotional and then enjoy breakfast together at one of the local restaurants.

Women's Ministries
